This new tool serves the same function as the older BBT-9 model: to install and remove Shimano Hollowtech II bottom bracket cups (as well as other brands using the same spline pattern, such as Race Face or Truvativ). But it does it one better: now it hooks up to a 3′8″ driver of your choice (Ratchet, torque wrench, etc) making it easier to control torque and reduce slippage.
